The class is held in the spacious main hall of the school. No special clothing is necessary and the emphasis is on individual interpretation of the most famous of the belly dance styles. Don't forget to bring a drink with you and there's plenty of on-site parking for those coming by car.


BEGINNERS: 7pm - 8pm. A whole hour of belly dance suitable for those who have never danced before through to those who've taken classes with us before. There's no need to pre-book the class or term times as you're welcome to join whenever your schedule allows. Each week we'll introduce different essential elements of belly dance and put them into a short routine to rehearse, refine and dance through. We'll also be covering different styles of belly dance from the traditional to contemporary to enable you to experience the whole range and find which suits you most. The first dance styles we'll be encountering will be Baladi and Chiftitelli and I know you're just going to love them.


IMPROVERS: 8pm - 9pm. This class is suitable for ladies who have danced before or who have just taken part in the previous class and is definitely a step up from the previous lesson. Again we'll be using a whole range of styles set within a choreography and building your knowledge through repetition and explorations into new areas with work on both individual and group dances. To enable beginners to move up through the ranks the first two music styles we'll be exploring are Baladi and Chiftitelli with the possible inclusion of finger cymbals for those who want to take their dancing to the next level.
